Arduino timer for 110V AC
As a beginner I need to program my Arduino Uno to control the timing on two 110V water pumps. What additional hardware can I purchase from Adafruit for this project?

Re: Arduino timer for 110V AC
What are the electrical specs on the pumps?
Do you want wireless control?
Do you want remote monitoring?
What's the nature of the time and how accurate does it need to be?
I'd go with this: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2935
You can control it with any microcontroller including the Uno.

Re: Arduino timer for 110V AC
Your suggested relay will be perfect. The two pumps are both 110V/60hz 24W and 40W respectively. I will have the filing pump on for 5 minutes and off for 30 minutes on a continuous 24hr cycle. The drain pump will start one minute later than the fill pump and shut off one or two minutes after the fill pump stops. Is there an Arduino program you could direct me to that would make this function easily?
Will I need any additional circuitry such as a real time clock?
Thanks for your help!

Unless you're looking to learn and dive into a programming project, search amazon or eBay or your favorite vendor for low cost components for a "cycle timer".
They will do what you need and will likely more robust than a DIY solution and close to the same cost.

Re: Arduino timer for 110V AC
I do want to learn how to do the programing but I have a deadline for this project so I will get to that later. For now I will purchase the Relay Timer, DROK Digital LED Display Relay Switch Panel AC 85-265V 220V Timing Delay Cycle ON-Off Control 0-999ms 0-999s 0-999m 0-999h Adjustable Repeat Cycle Controller Module.
You have been most helpful and I will definitely be purchasing some more things from Adafruit in the future.
Many Thanks.
