Hi all, today the IO team released WipperSnapper Beta 23. This beta adds the framework we needed for supporting more sensors, components, simplifying how I2C sensor communication works, and making it possible for users (such as yourself!) to contribute sensors directly to Adafruit IO WipperSnapper.

This release updated the protocol buffer messages (https://github.com/adafruit/Wippersnapper_Protobuf/) used by our I2C API. If your device is running an older version of WipperSnapper (beta 22 and below), you'll be unable to create or configure I2C sensors.

If you'd like to use I2C components with your WipperSnapper device, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of the firmware found on https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Wi ... ses/latest.

Now that we can add components faster (and collaboratively, without having users modifying the underlying communication API!), we'll be publishing a guide on how to add components and also continue with adding more I2C components to WipperSnapper.

If you're experiencing a bug or things aren't working correctly: Please make a new post on the WipperSnapper forum: viewforum.php?f=66
