Voltage for Trinket M0

Post by johnkersten »

For Trinket M0 and other devices which ask for 3V, will 5V work? 5V is supplied with USB but I’m wondering if I can power via DC.

The SAMD21 is a 3.3v MCU, but the board has 3.3v regulator to convert 5v since, as you say, 5v comes in on the USB connector. The best approach is to supply 5v through the USB connector. This avoids potential conflicts between multiple power sources.
