Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
Would a 6amp SPST work instead of the SPDT you have linked? Trying to find something locally in hopes that I can have these working for a con this weekend.

Oh yes, it's a very low current to handle EN. Pretty much any switch will work, even tiny PCB mount switches. Anything you will install into a case/panel will be fine.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
So I have everything assembled like we discussed only to realize there is no power going to the servo featherwing. The powerboost board was connected directly to it through the block terminal. So my servos are getting no power. The M4 has power and the toggle switch it turning it on and off great but I'm unsure how to get power to the servo.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
You should be able to connect it to the Feather's (i.e. the Wing's) USB pin. That will be connected directly to the 5v on the USB connector. If you have a dual output power bank you could use the second output for it. The only problem you might have is noise from the servos getting into the Feather's power and glitching the MCU. Though using the PowerBoost would have the same issue. So I'm guessing you should be ok.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
I am not seeing a 5v pin, is it called something different?
I am using a single output powerbank.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
On some boards the pin is called '5v' and on others it is called 'USB'. Both pins are direct connections to the USB power pin, and generally you can also feed 5 volts from an external power source back into the device.

Yes. As I mentioned, it's the USB pin.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
This is true, but carries the risk that there could be problems if power is supplied by the USB pin when you plug in a USB cable to program the board, or debug, etc.and generally you can also feed 5 volts from an external power source back into the device.

I'm sorry I am bit slow on the uptake lol. So I am wiring USB on the M4 to USB on the servo featherwing?

No. They are already connected. That's the idea behind wings: all matching pins are connected. You'll be wiring USB (common to both the Feather and the wing) to the servo power.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
That's where I'm a bit confused. I am unfortunately learning this as i go so your expertise is greatly appreciated.
The power to the servos was wired from the powerboosts 5v and GND pins to the terminal block. I'm not understanding how to take 1 wire from the USB on the M4 to the 2 wires the terminal block on the servos featherwing requires, unless there is a specific pin the M4 USB gets wired to on the servos featherwing.

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
The + connection on the terminal block would be connected to 5v (aka USB) and the - to ground, just as it was with the PowerBoost.

Hmm, I'll give it a try...not sure I can get a third wire crammed in the ground lol

Re: Question about the Powerboost part used with the fairy wings project
This may be a stupid question but can I splice all 3 ground wires together and attach them to the end of a single wire that is then soldered to the ground pin?
