Greetings,
I have just received my recent order. One of the products was the Ethernet Hub and USB - P2992C. I noticed there is what appears to be a jack for a power supply. Could you give me the specs on that? All of my old power supplies have barrel connectors that are quite a bit larger.
The description said nothing about this being a powered hub but it did mention a 280 mA draw even when ethernet not in use so I thought a power supply might be a good idea.
Thanks
Power supply for Ethernet Hub and USB - P2992C

Re: Power supply for Ethernet Hub and USB - P2992C
The DC plug is a 1.35mm DC jack port for an external 5v DC power supply. The specs are mentioned on another mini hub product page along. Note the mention of 5v and USB being shared which could also be the case with the #2992 ethernet hub you are using.

There is a 1.35mm DC jack port for an external power supply but its connected directly to the 5V line so if you need to externally power, we recommend prying open the case and cutting the red 5V line from the USB connection.

Thank you. I may even put a switch on it.
