I accidentally selected ESP32 S2 dev board and (tried) uploading a simple neopixel code.
This made the qtpy disappear from my ports list
I held down BOOT, pushed and released RESET, then released BOOT
The QTPy now appears on my ports list, but reports error while uploading sketch
"WARNING: ESP32-S2FNR2 chip was placed into download mode using GPIO0.
esptool.py can not exit the download mode over USB. To run the app, reset the chip manually."
How do I manually reset the QTPY?
Much appreciate assistance!

What you did should work. That message is just a warning. Once you see it, try just pressing the reset button on the QT PY and the sketch should run. Try using a basic Blink sketch as a way to verify behavior and get back to a known good state.
