Micropython and Motor Wings

Post by gerbils »

Hi -

I am trying to build a project that uses a Feather board to control either a Stepper motor or a DC motor with an encoder. I haven't decided yet, so I am exploring both options. To start, I bought the HUZZAH ESP8266 and ESP32 as well as the DC Motor + Stepper FeatherWing and the PWM FeatherWing.

I can see that they have CircuitPython libraries, but I wonder if there's a way to use Micropython as well? I understand that CircuitPython is not supported on the ESP8266. On the other hand, the ESP32 has a "dev only, use at your own risk" warning.

What's the best configuration to do this?

Thanks!
