Relay Problems

hello
im building a project thatnoid envolves a solenoid lock...the solenoid is 12v and im using an arduno to trigger a 5v relay. should be pretty straight forward...every time i trigger the relay, the locks energize like it shouldbut, the arduino reboots it self. i have tried everything i can think of, ive used different relays, transistors, diodes, etc. its getting very expensive to order pcbs 3 times. any help would be appreciated!!

Relays and solenoids are inductive loads and there are several ways they can interfere with your Arduino. If you post some photos or a circuit diagram showing how you have everything connected, we can try to spot the problem.
