Hallowing M4 no longer works
When my Hallowing M4 arrived, it worked great out of the box. I changed a parameter in the config.eye file, and it went blank. I have updated the bootloader, and dropped adafruit-circuitpython-hallowing_m4_express-en_US-7.3.3.uf2 onto the HALLOM4BOOT drive, and I get what appears to be a CircuitPython screen. When I drop HALLOM4EYE.UF2 onto the HALLOM4BOOT drive, I get an infinitely flashing orange LED, but still no eye.

Yes, installing CircuitPython will give you CircuitPython. The eye code is written in C++, not CircuitPython.
What did you change in config.eye?

I changed the "eyeradius" to 150, but didn't realize it until after I had saved it.

Does it work if you put the original back?

Re: Hallowing M4 no longer works
No. After I tried that, I started looking for a solution on the internet, but still no eye.

Re: Hallowing M4 no longer works
I can't see making a config change causing it to completely fail like this. I suggest deleting (and emptying trash) everything off of CIRCUITPY, reinstalling the EYE firmware and re-copying the data files.

I tried deleting the files & emptying the trash, but when I double tap the reset button, and drop HALLOM4EYE.UF2 onto the drive, I get an infinitely blinking orange LED.

Did you copy over the eye data files?

Re: Hallowing M4 no longer works
I can copy them over while the Hallowing M4 is running CircuitPy, but when I double tap reset and drop the HALLOM4EYE.UF2 file onto the drive, I get the flashing LED & the unit no longer shows up as a drive.

Re: Hallowing M4 no longer works
Oh. Well, that's significant. CIRCUITPY should still show up!
The yellow/orange LED is part of the charger. It will flash/flicker if there's no battery connected. As noted in the guide:

Have you tried running the diagnostics code? https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-hal ... cs-3042541The charge LED is automatically driven by the Lipoly charger circuit. It will try to detect a battery and is expecting one to be attached. If there isn't one it may flicker once in a while when you use power because it's trying to charge a (non-existent) battery. It's not harmful, and its totally normal!

How can I view the output from the diagnostics code?

Re: Hallowing M4 no longer works
I believe it displays on screen, if not then over serial/usb.

No output on the built in display, I tried to view it in the Arduino serial monitor. It connects, but I can't get it to output any info.

Re: Hallowing M4 no longer works
To double check. When you install CircuitPython, it resets, CIRCUITPY mounts, and you get the snake and CircuitPython output on the onboard screen?
