Trying to write a simple analog write program to brighten and dim an external led. It is not working. I have pin 1 connected to a 220 ohm resistor and then through the pos side of the led and then the led back to gnd. It will not work. Thoughts?
Here is my simple program ( I was going to use a variable to write the numbers 1 - 1023 to the pin but thought I would start with 3 values.

And what are you using for the processor? Does the LED light if you touch the pin going to A1 to power instead (disconnected from A1)?
