MPRLS leak, wont hold a constant vacuum

Post by RowBotz »

Hi All,
I am having a difficult time getting the MPRLS modules to hold a constant vacuum reading. I am using 3/32 tubing to the metal port. I also have the suggested 3/32 tubing inside the 1/4 tubing. Additionally I have tried 1/16 for an extra tight fit. All of which wont hold a constant reading, showing a slow leak.

Is the MPRLS just not intended to be used a vacuum gauge for an extended period of time?

I have 6 MPRLS, all seem to showing the same issue. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Have you tried to seal the sensor around the edges and on the back?

I have not tired that yet, but I will give it a go.

The only hole on the back side of the board is the port hole for the sensor. I assume I should leave that open?

Thanks

The MPRLS's are rated down to 0 pressure, so nominally should be able to read vacuum.

The suggestion to seal around the base of the metal housing that comprises the tube port is a good idea. That's a potential weak spot.

Also - could it be somewhere in your tubulation? Have you investigated other possible sources of leaks?
