I have an application where I need to mount the speaker bonnet 3346 separately and away from the pi. When I stack the bonnet on the pi all is good.
When I jumper the pi pins to the bonnet pins referenced in the guide there is no sound. Are there other pins I need to use or grounding considerations?
I have even tried powering the bonnet from a separate 5V power source using common ground for all. All grounds in all cases go to the same ground bus.
I am using: pi----->bonnet
p2(5V)
p4(5v)
p6(GND)
p1(3.3v)
p18
p19
p21
I am using 3W speakers.
Thanks

Re: Speaker Bonnet not working when using jumpered connections
18/19/21 are GPIO pin numbers, not physical pin numbers. See schematic for ref:

The BCM numbering scheme is used for 18/19/21:
