adafruit industries

I'm in the market for a laser cutter and have my eyes set (with goggles) on a Diode laser cutter. Doing some research these seem to perform badly on clear acrylics, but are just fine on opague ones. Now this isn't the material I intend to work with a lot, but I would like to cut the Black LED Diffusion Acrylic Panel from Adafruit. Product description says "works great in laser cutters - treat it like any other acrylic", so I'm left wondering if a diode would do the work. Not being completely clear I wonder if anyone has experience cutting this with a diode laser and what their results were like.
