Confused by ItsyBitsy MO Express Board

Post by drnow »

I purchased an ItsyBitsy MO Express Board, but it does not operate as described on the Adafruit site. Upon plugging into my Mac computer, I see the drive "CIRCUITPY". When I follow the instructions on https://learn.adafruit.com/welcome-to-c ... cuitpython, and push the reset button twice, the drive name changes to "ISTYBOOT". When I drag to file adafruit-circuitpython-itsybitsy_m0_express-en_US-7.3.3.uf2 onto this drive, I get the message "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 100093)."
What should I do?

This is a problem introduced with macOS Ventura. See this blog post for more information and a workaround:
