I have a new NeoKey 1x4 QT I2C Breakout and it can not be found or reports the wrong address.
Bus scan Feather M4 w CP7.3.3:
Not found
Bus scan Feather ESP32-S3 CP8 beta4
0xb
The power light is on, and I know that the bus is good, as it is daisy-chained with STEMMA cables and a device connected after it is found and works properly.
I don't see any explanation other than that it is just defective, but checking if I missed anything.

Correction: 0xb is on the ESP32-S3 Feather, so it isn't being found on that micro either.

Thanks. For now, focusing on just the Feather M4. The Feather M4 Express (PID 3857) does not have a dedicated STEMMA QT connector, so the header pins will need to be used - at least on the Feather side. How are you making the connection between the Feather M4 and the NeoKey?

Breadboard pins to STEMMA connector. The encoder is daisychained after the NeoKey to verify that power and I2C bus connections are good. Only the decoder at 0x36 is found.

Thanks for the photo of the setup and test output.
Just to check - are the headers soldered on the Feather?

Yes, of course they are soldered. Same result plugging into breadboard vs directly into M4 headers.

OK, thanks for verifying. That all seems fine. Not sure what's wrong - the address should just show up like the rotary knob. Let's just replace it.
