I'm unable to find any information on wiring a bipolar stepper motor to the motor shield.
Looking at the schematic it looks like on m1 (m1-m2) it's a+ a- b- b+ top to bottom skipping terminal 3. In other words 5:a+ 4:a- 2:b- and 1:b+.
For m2(m3-m4 ) it looks to be the same. a+ at top and b+ at bottom, skipping 3. or 1:a+ 2:a- 4:b- and 5:b+.
Is this correct?
stepper motor wriing on the motor shield.

Re: stepper motor wriing on the motor shield.
That is correct for a 4-wire bipolar motor: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-mot ... per-motors
Before connecting anything, make sure that your motor is compatible with the shield:
