Trying to flash ItsyBitsy nrf52840 Express

Post by Lumann »

Hello,
I have an ItsyBitsy nrf52840 Express board and would like to flash the SOC directly. Therefore, I connected my J-link EDU mini to the soldered pad and VT-ref to the 3.3V pin of the board but when I tried to connect to the SOC (with J-link commander or with nRF Command Line Tools) It says that it "cannot connect to target". Could you please help me find a solution?

Are you powering the Itsy separately? The JLink does not power the board through the 3.3V pin.

Thank you for your fast answer,

Yes, I'm powering it separately through the BAT and GND pins with a 3.3V voltage.

Could be a connection issue. Post photos of the soldering job to the pads and how the JLink is being connected.
