The description says that you can use either bi-polar stepper motors or brushed DC motors. I was wondering if it would be compatible with a Brushless DC motor.

That depends on the motor. Some BLDC motors have built-in control circuitry and can be treated like a typical brushed motor. But most require an external 3-phase controller or "ESC". Most ESCs as used in RC models and drones are designed to be controlled with a standard RC-Servo pulsed signal. For those, the PWM/Servo Wing would be a better match
