powering on led matrix 16x32

hi, I bought the led matrix 16x32 and the connectors described in this tutorial

I have the power cable with spades and connected them the power as described in the tutorial.
There are no lights turned on on the matrix, is there a way to indicate that it gets power?

There is no power indicator light. Once powered, you'll need to drive the displays via software for anything to appear. Nothing shows up with just power.
