Super newbie please help

I followed the tutorial for the Circuitpython to Gemma m0 hookup. I only plugged in the m0 to the computer. That worked. It blinked when it was supposed to, etc.
Now I have a 9V battery pack using JST cords to connect it, and the LED wires. I don't know what wires to connect to what or if the code is right?

I just want to reset and start over. How/ what files do I delete from the gemma m0 on the computer?
And is 9V too much to power it?

There nothing to delete. You'd just upload a new MakeCode program to change what is running on the board.

9V is potentially too much. The battery voltage on the JST should be 4-6V:
