QT PY RP2040 Not Booting

Post by jackmasterson »

Hi -

I'm unable to start the controller in BOOT mode. I've tried three different cables and two machines. I've looked through the forums and it seems to be the same issue here viewtopic.php?t=189772. I don't have the package the controller came in but the order ID is RP2040[ID:4900] and my confirmation number is 2962393-0884243959.

Here is the picture of it missing the black diode referenced in the linked thread.

Good find the thread and missing diode.

We can replace this board for you. Please contact [email protected] and provide them with your order number and this thread link as authorization.

Hi I'm sorry, I do not have the baggie, I had opened this a week or two ago and threw it out. Is there anything from my order I can send you to confirm?

Okay! Thank you for your help. I've emailed the support email with this thread to ask for a replacement as mentioned above. Is there anything I can do on my end to try to fix it in the meantime? I unfortunately had soldered it to a PCB once I confirmed that it powered on and the light came on. I can always remove it but I'm still new to it all...

you could try to solder in replacement parts but they're very small - a replacement will arrive shortly!
