I can't upload example Adafruit TMP117 basic_test to Metro

Post by douglaskbell »

I installed Adafruit TMP117.
I installed adafruit_drivers.exe
Clicked file > examples > Adafruit TMP117 > basic_test.
Plugged Metro in to laptop's USB.
Clicked "select other board and port" but BOARDS doesn't have "Metro" and PORTS is "NO PORTS DISCOVERED".

IDE: 2.0.3
Laptop: Windows 10

Metro board shows solid green LED and blinking red "L" LED.
Attached TMP117 board show solid green LED.

BOARDS doesn't have "Metro"
Sounds like you have not installed the relevant Adafruit Boards package in the IDE. It is not clear which Metro you are using, but there should be instructions for your installing the package for your board in the corresponding guide.

It is the "Metro" and not the express.

I followed the "Metro" guide and installed IDE 2.0.3 and adafruit_drivers.exe

In Windows Device manager I see Ports > Silcon Labs CP210x USB to UART bridge (COM3)

It is the "Metro" and not the express.
There are many boards that match that description. Please post a link to the exact one you are using.
