Hi,
I'm trying to pair the keyboard with a brand-new Samsung Galaxy A13. The phone detects the device as N0A0X, but when I select it I get the message "An app is needed to use this device." Thanks in advance for any advice on getting this to work.

Could you post a link to the device you're using please? We have three Bluetooth keyboards in the shop, as well as several boards that can act as BLE keyboard drivers.

Absolutely--my apologies for the vagueness. Here's a link to the keyboard I'm trying to connect: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3601. Thanks!

Thank you.
I don't know why a phone would ask for an app with that one.. it's a BT-Classic device, not a BLE device.
This old Reddit thread suggests clearing the phone's Bluetooth cache:

It's worth a shot.

Re: Pairing Bluetooth Keyboard with New Phone
Thanks for that advice. I can't get it to pair with my phone, with a Vankyo Matrix tablet, or with my Microsoft Surface Pro 7. Very frustrating. Neither the tablet nor the computer (Bluetooth-enabled) will recognize that it's there.

As a sanity check, are you sure the keyboard is charged and turned on?

Always a fair question! Yes, it charged for 2 hours and change and the switch is set to "on."

Re: Pairing Bluetooth Keyboard with New Phone
I'm now trying to pair it with a Samsung Galaxy J3, and it's again unable to pair. Is this just a fluke or have others had problems getting this keyboard to pair with devices?

At this point it sounds like the keyboard just isn't working. Let's try another.
