Recently got a RPi 4B from you. I noticed right away that the SD card slot acts differently than my Pi 2Bs. When you insert a card into them, you have to pop it into place and depress again to unlock and remove it. The 4B isn't doing that and it's not booting up w/ verified working SD cards. The SD cards just slide it as far as they can go - I never get any kind of feel they are secured in the slot & I can pull them right out again.
Is that normal behavior on the new boards or is mine defective?

Yes, that is the normal function. Make sure you test it with a recent download of the OS.
