Bad 2.1mm Power Supply Jack

Post by oredigger_4_life »

The 7-12 VDC jack on my new Metro board appears to be bad. Board runs fine off USB but when I plug in a 9 VDC switching power supply nothing happens. I verified that I have 9 VDC coming from the power supply. With both the 9 VDC power supply plugged in, and the USB plugged in, as soon as remove the USB, the board shuts off.

Is there anything that I could do to troubleshoot the board or do I need to send it back for a replacement?

Is the barrel jack power switch set to "on"?

Thanks Dave! I did not realize it had an on/off switch. Just starting my journey with the Metro board. And thanks for quick response.

That's a big difference between the Mtros and Arduino boards.
