Hi there, was lucky enough to get a Pi about a week ago, but seems like the Ethernet port is DOA. Plug in my working Pi and it works just fine, but then (using the same SD card) I switch to the new Pi and nothing.

Post the output from `dmesg` between CODE tags please. Let's see what the kernel has to say during hardware recognition.

Re: Defective Ethernet port on RPi 4
Yeah, I can't even get that far. I tried both the NOOBS 3.1 SD card that came with my order and then also just vanilla Rasp Pi OS (32-bit) on a different SD and my monitor doesn't even see any input. I used the same cables and SD card on my working Pi and it works just fine - so I'm thinking it's not just the Ethernet jack at this point.
Also, noticed that the green ACT light on the bad Pi blinks insanely fast, where on the working Pi it's much slower. Red power LED is constant on for both Pis.

Re: Defective Ethernet port on RPi 4
What voltages do you see on the 5V and 3.3V GPIO pins?

5V: getting 5.28V
3.3V: getting only 0.35V from both pins 1 and 17

Re: Defective Ethernet port on RPi 4
Thank you. That indicates a failure somewhere in the 3.3V system.. possibly a short somewhere in the microprocessor.
