ESP32 Dev board issue
Posted: Tue Jan 24, 2023 12:51 pm
I purchased an Espressif ESP32 Development Board - Developer Edition on Monday 1/16 and whenever I try to upload a simple WiFi scan sketch to the esp32 the output generates an error code. I ensured that everything was running on the same baud rate. I have tired using different combinations of pressing the boot and enable button but nothing seems to fix this. I have also tried updating the USB to serial com drivers but nothing seems to work. I looked on the espressif website for the error and all that I could find was "Esptool didn’t receive any byte of data or a successful slip packet. This error usually implies some kind of a hardware issue. This may be because the hardware is not working properly at all, the RX/TX serial lines are not connected, or because there is some problem with resetting into the download mode."
Code: Select all
/*
* This sketch demonstrates how to scan WiFi networks.
* The API is based on the Arduino WiFi Shield library, but has significant changes as newer WiFi functions are supported.
* E.g. the return value of `encryptionType()` different because more modern encryption is supported.
