Hello,
I am developing a project with a TPL5110 to reduce the consumption, but I have a problem with it.
I am using a li-ion 3.7V battery with a boost converter to get 5V model HW-183. It is connected to de VDD and GND pins of the TPL. The DRV and Done pins of the TPL are connected to an ESP8266 Amica. The Trim is enable and there isn't any resistance in the Delay pin of the TPL.
If I power the TPL5110 by a USB-A cable it works perfectly with the ESP8266, but if I use the HW-183 to power the TPL5110 when I connect the ESP8266 it doesn't work and the TPL5110 turns off its led.
I disconnect the DRV and the TPL5110 led turns on again.
I am using 4 18650 batteries of 3500 mha each.
Where is the problem?
Can anyone suggest me a solution?
Thanks.

Post a photo showing your hardware and connections and we'll take a look. 800x600 images usually work best.

Re: TPL5110 and HW-183 boost converter problem
Sorry for the delay. I use in my project Mcp73871 Booster module too.
The connection schematic would be Mcp73871 Booster >>> HW-183 >>> TPL5110 >>> ESP8266 Amica
I hope the pictures are good.

Re: TPL5110 and HW-183 boost converter problem
At a guess, the noise from the boost converter is making the TPL5110 toggle.
You'll get better power savings if you put the TPL5110 immediately after the battery pack, and let it control power to the boost converter. Even when there's no load, boost converters use a fair amount of power to run.
