Ultimate GPS Shield & Feather S3 - GPS location far off actual location

Post by floaf »

I'm using the Ultimate GPS Shield (the one for the Uno) with an Feather S3 (2MB PSRAM version) and have wired the TX and RX pins of the GPS shield to the Feather. I have uploaded the "GPS_HardwareSerial_Parsing.ino" example to the Feather and have been able to receive NMEA sequences from the GPS which has confirmed that it has fixed.

However, the reported location is quite far off from my actual location (about 100km away), and the decimal places seem to be off. Happy to share the actual location (in private messages) and other information as required.

Thanks.

Seems resolved. GPS.degrees returns the degrees in minutes / seconds rather than decimal degrees as I expected.
