I bought this a few years ago but it sat in a drawer since then. I just brought it back out to try on a project, but I can't seem to get into it. I've tried:
* double-tap the reset button - nothing changes, no OS's see it
* hold down the reset button as I plug it in - that actually worked once, but I didn't do anything with it. I never got that back.
Not only do the different OS's not see it, but neither does Thonny or ESP Tool.
The yellow LED flashes very faintly and very quickly. If I plug your 3.7v battery into it, the yellow LED will light up solidly and brightly.
I'll add that I also have a Feather MO Bluefruit LE that I have no issues with. Everything sees it and I can load code on it.
Does 5 LED blinks mean it's smoked?
Thanks

What LED is blinking 5 times?
Are you sure it has CircuitPython installed? Does it work with Arduino?

Yeah, sorry; the red LED is the one flashing 5 times. The yellow LED detail was added to try to be as complete as I can be.
I assume it has CircuitPython installed, as I've never tried to program it. It doesn't work with anything since it can't be seen by Thonny, Arduino IDE or MU.

Can you see REPL output if you connect using a terminal emulator?

OK, it doesn't sound promising but, alas, you are way out of the replacement window.

Yeah, I figured. I just didn't know if there was some kind of undocumented "reset" of some kind. You don't know what you don't know. Thanks :-)
