I am having issues with my Adafruit Audio FX Mini Sound Board - WAV/OGG Trigger 16MB Flash PID: 2341
I was able to utilize the soundboard just fine with the demo tracks that were provided with the product with no issues. I've uploaded my own files now to test out the capabilities and the sounds no longer operated properly. I have reloaded the compressed images (provided here: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-aud ... /downloads) and was able to get it back to the initial state. Reloading my files again have caused it to no longer be recognized by my Mac (macOS 13.1) and am getting the following error message when connecting the soundboard: 'The disk you attached was not readable by this computer.' My Mac no longer recognizes the soundboard as an external drive and am stuck at the VS1000-1 Media as being detected and nothing else.
The green status light is on when connected to the computer and the red light is off. I luckily bought 2 soundboards, and the other soundboard is able to connect to the computer and shows up as ADADRUITSFX as expected with the exact port/cable as the other soundboard that is not working.

The comparison test sounds good, thank you.
When did you get the FX Boards?

Another data point and now my other soundboard is in the same state.
I ran the serial demo here: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-aud ... io-control
After properly connecting everything, all of the sound files are gone (after entering “L”) and the soundboard file system seems to have been corrupted and is giving me the same error when connected to the USB.

Two boards having the same problem suggest a problem in the operating environment.
Post a photo showing your hardware and connections and we'll take a look. 800x600 images usually work best.

And here is what I'm seeing in my Disk Utility. Prior to the error, I was able to mount the soundboard and upload files.

Re: Adafruit Audio FX Mini Sound Board - Not Recognizing on Mac
With further investigation, ejecting the Soundboard causes it to do a reset and then it remounts. This may have been the root of my problem of why the file system on the Soundboard was corrupted.
This forum helped me solve my problem.

Flashing the SFX16mb.img using the recommended balenaEtcher software worked and I was able to recover my soundboard.
I believe my issue is now resolved.
