datalogger shield with Metro AT328 with Adafruit SD card cante

Post by mromero »

I purchased 4x adafruit assembled datalogging shields for arduino with the battery and preformatted SD card you sell. I attached each of the 4 datalogger shields to my Metro AT328 and ran the CardInfo example sketch. I kept getting Initializing SD failed.

Used 3 different SD cards ( all purchase from adafruit preformatted) and different batteries. I checked and the card is inserted with the text upwards as displayed in the adafruit site. I changed the pin select to 10 and there is nothing else wired to the board so all the testing the error recommends checking are correct. I am running arduino ide 1.8.19.

Any ideas will be welcomed.

Can you post clear photos of your shields?

If the 2x3 SPI pin connector is not installed could that be the problem?

Yes, the missing 2x3 SPI connector is probably the problem. You either use the SPI connector (easiest) or the SPI connection jumpers.
