I have tried it on multiple Pis with multiple cables.
--Two separate Pi zero Ws
o Using Buster and Bullseye 32 Lite, as well as 32bit full desktop
-- Pi4
o Running the latest OctoPi (0.18.0) Buster based
In each case above I have enabled camera interfaces and when I run vcgencmd get_camera, it returns supported =1, and detected =0.
I have tried as many versions of Raspbian as reasonable as well as multiple hardware configurations.
I believe this must somehow be defective. If there are any other things to try, I am open to suggestions.

Re: Having trouble getting the HQ camera to show connected
Thank you for trying these different OS installations and Pi models.
Do you still have an up to date Bullseye full Desktop on a SD card? I ask because the camera interface completely changed between early Buster releases and the current Bullseye.
Can you try these commands. Make sure Legacy camera support is disabled.
I have seen other reports showing the same output you are seeing and the camera is working with older OS releases.

Re: Having trouble getting the HQ camera to show connected
Looking back over this thread from the beginning. I think I see the issue. This camera comes with a cord that is not Pi Zero compatible.
Did you pick up the adapter cable to use with Pi Zero based systems?
https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/ra ... ty-camera/All models of Raspberry Pi Zero require a Raspberry Pi Zero camera cable to connect to the Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera; the standard cable supplied with the camera is not compatible with the smaller Raspberry Pi Zero camera connector.

Yes, I have the cables for Pi Zero as well as the one that came with the camera.
The one that came with the camera, I used on my Pi4.
The Pi zero ones, I used on the 2 Pi Zero boards that I tested.

It looks like you have the right hardware and OS setup so let's try a replacement camera.
