Hi I’m having problems with a metro board. It will not recognize and does not give com 4 port option. I am doing a simple capacitive touch project. I have it running on an uno and want to do the same exact thing on the metro. The guides say to choose uno.
The lights light up. I have reset and I am using a data cable.

Which specific Metro board are you using? There are several. Can you link to the product page or guide being followed.

Does your PC respond at all when the Metro is plugged in? Like make a "something connected" ding! sound?

So the PC is at least seeing the board.
Did you install the CP210x drivers? See link on product page:

Mac & Windows People! Don't forget to grab & install the CP2014 VCP drivers from SiLabs to make the COM/Serial port show up right! The default drivers may not support this USB/Serial chip
