PyBadge LC pushbuttons don't works

Post by oriolboix »

Hi!

I used several PyBadge LC boards with my students. Recently, one of them starts to work bad, the buttons don't work properly. I upload a simple program to test it and when I push any of seven button (all except B one) the board don't detect and when I push the B button it detect all of them.

I test with two versions (7 and 8) of CircuitPython and it is the same result. It is probably a hardware problem.

Any idea about how to solve it?

Thanks in advance

Have a close look at the chip that's just above the battery. Check for any shorts on it's pins or damage. That's the chip that handles the buttons. Posting a clear closeup photo would be helpful.

And measure the buttons themselves with a multimeter for correct functioning.
