You do not need to limit the current. Just meet the power specs and it is ideal to have a power supply with higher current rating than requried.
What were you using for the power supply with your setup?

You are fine for current, but you will need to watch voltage.
These strips are designed for 9v - 12v. Your Jeep is probably going to run well over that. Car automotive batteries can go up to 15v when driving. A 12v regulator would be a good idea to keep the voltage stable.
