Datalogger RTC not working...

Post by wruehl1 »

Hello,
Love both my Datalogger Shields I got from you. I have one mounted normally (piggyback on an Arduino Mega) and it works great. I have a second that I recently ordered and attempted to run remote, or not directly connected to the Arduino headers. The SD side of things works great! No issues there, card is detected, file created and written to. The RTC works when plugged into the header, but will not work ("RTC not found") when wired into the header of a near by Arduino. The simple assumption is that there are connections I have missed that are needed for RTC operation but after spending some time poring over the reference material I was unable to sort it out. I have wired the 6pin 2X3 header and pin 10 and gnd and +5vdc.

Any ideas?

Is the answer possibly DIO 11,12,13?

Well it was SDA and SCL that were missing. installed some jumpers to those and it worked perfectly. Lesson learned! The answer was right in the schematic all along. Sorry for the fire drill!
