itsybitsy 32u4 compatibility with SPI

itsybitsy 32u4 compatibility with SPI

Hi,

I have bought the Itsy Bitsy 32u4 5V @ 16 MHz and having trouble getting my SPI communication to work with an ADC I got from TI. After I checked the schematic for the the board it seems that PIN8 (PB0 SS) of the ATmega32u4 chip is not actually wired to anything. Does this mean I cannot use it for SPI communication where I need toggle the SS to my device? I tried to set D5, D7, D9, and D10 as my SS pins, and it seems to output signals, but then my MOSI pin has nothing. It could of course be my arduino code is wrong, but I just wanted to confirm that this board would even work. I am new to SPI and MCUs.
