Pitft 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen not sensing touch on retropie

Post by CrimJim »

I purchased a 2.8 inch capacitive touch pitft plus to use in a pigrrl 2 build, however, the touch screen itself does not register any input, but evtest shows that the device itself is a touchscreen, but not recieving input during testing.

Please help! I have scoured the forums, but nothing seems to work.

The PiGRRL 2 build uses a resistive touch display with the PiTFT Plus. Regardless of the capacitive versus resistive the guide does not go into setting up the touchscreen for this build. Was there a reason you wanted to use it over the controller buttons?

Little bro wants to play ds games, but no touch cuts a lot of games out of the picture

There a helpful thread with someone who got their resistive based touchscreen going with a PiGRRL2 setup.
