Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board + 2x2W Amp - WAV/OGG Trigger -16MB
Product ID: 2217
Can anyone advise what the power draw is when the device is not actively playing audio, standby time
Additionally , how can I determine the power draw when connected to a single 4ohm speaker , trying to calculate how long a 3.7v 500mah lipo will last
Thank you

Re: Standby power Audio FX Sound Board + 2x2W Amp
The Audio FX board draws about 40mA when running with ear buds.
The guide mentions 1A spikes are possible when running two 4 ohm speakers on the 2W board.
A 500mA battery would be a minimal setup. This size battery would only make sense if the board is rarely playing audio.
It would be best to measure rather than guess at your draw. A USB voltage meter is ideal for that.
