Adafruit clone SNES controllers - still (F)Uzebox compat?

Hi adafruit

I bought some clone SNES pads from Zed labz about 3 or 4 years ago and they worked fine with my Uzebox. I have since bought controllers from Zeb labz (again), Amazon (TRIXES) and two different AliExpress sellers and none of these newer clone SNES pads fully work with the Uzebox. They only work in the Uzebox bootloader which has been patched to support these "slow" controllers but the majority of Uzebox games are unplayable and you can expect the Uzebox to get reset if you try using one of these controllers.

I have noticed that you still sell clone SNES controllers and you claim that they also work with Fuzeboxen too, so they should also work with any Uzebox and not just in the bootloader. If you still have a Fuzebox, could you please test one of your controllers to check that they do actually still work OK with the Uzebox?

If these pads do still work OK with all Uzebox games, are they also available from any of your UK stores?

Thanks!

Hi adafruit

Do you not still have any (F)Uzeboxes around to test if your SNES pads are still Uzebox compat?

All of the clone SNES pads I have bought off Amazon and AliExpress over the last few years have not been Uzebox compatible and I don't want to pay for you to post these to the UK if they're not going to work with a Uzebox.

Thanks

Hi Adafruit!

I have good news. I ordered three of your SNES controllers from Mouser UK three days ago. They arrived today and they all work fine on my Uzebox Omega - https://uzebox.org/wiki/Omega . They are notably better quality than the clone SNES controllers I have bought off Amazon and AliExpress, none of which fully worked with the Uzebox anyway.

I hope you intend to continue to stock these controllers for a number of years yet. I will recommend these controllers on the Uzebox forum and the Commander X16 forums, both of which use SNES controllers.
