R503 Fingerprint sensor not working

Post by Ahmad2109 »

Hello there, I hope you are having a wonderful day. I need help setting up my R503 fingerprint sensor in the Arduino Micro board. I have watched videos and read blogs on how to connect the sensor, but as it seems, none worked for me. So as a last hope, I wanted to try this forum before I give up on my project.

The cables are in this order: Red, black, yellow, brown, blue and white. I have got a brown cable instead of the green one. I connected the red cable to the 5V, Black to ground, yellow and brown to pin 2 and 3, and blue to 5 V. I have used several configurations, but none worked out. I used RX and TX instead of pin 2 and 3, got nothing as well. 3V3 didn't work either. I have checked the code; it seems correct. I found no mistakes. I got the code from the Adafruit library.

Thanks in advance!

The wiring connections are documented here:

Is there actually a brown wire coming out of the finger print sensor? It was not the same wiring colors as shown here?
