HuskyLens visual Sensor to Microbit Cricket

Post by smithlu947 »

Hello,

I am a High School teacher. I am working with the BBC Microbit attached to the Adafruit Cricket. I have an accessory I want to attach to the cricket called a HuskyLens AI visual sensor. Is the Huskylens compatible with the Microbit Cricket? I requires a I2C (IIC) port using pin 19 and 20 but i'm not seeing a good way to connect it to the Cricket. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if the Huskylens is compatible with the Microbit Cricket or if I need to get a different product. Thank You

Yes, you should have no trouble getting it to work. The HuskyLens product page (https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1922.html even states that it is compatible with the Micro:bit.

You can connect it to the I2C pins (SCL, SDA, GND, +3v) on the Crickit at the righthand side of the Micro:bit connector (they are labelled). The holes are spaced to use with header strips if you don't want to solder the connection directly to the Crickit.
