Dear Adafruit,
I am writing to request the return of a product that I recently purchased from your store. Below are the details of the purchase:
Product: USB to UART Converter
Order/Invoice Number: #3231827-3317523454
Purchase Date: 12/02/2024
Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts, I have been unable to get the USB to UART converter to connect properly with the screen I am using. I have followed all the instructions in the manual and have tried different devices and cables, but there is no way to make the product work as expected.
Since the product does not fulfill its intended purpose and cannot be used for the function for which it was purchased, I kindly request a return and a corresponding refund. Attached to this letter are the purchase receipt and any other documents necessary to process the return.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. Please contact me through the means mentioned above for any additional information you may need.
Sincerely,
Sergio Vega

Probably better if you had not used a metal nut on the mounting screw - considering the exposed surface mount components right next to the nut.

We only do full refunds and replacements for production defects and early component failures.
The fact that you couldn't integrate the device into a circuit you developed doesn't count as a hardware failure.
We have an at-will return policy for devices purchased in the last 30 days that are still in original condition, but the customer is required to pay return shipping. In this case, the soldering to the PCB makes the device ineligible for at-will return.

@melvas66 what does it not do "as expected"? Are you sure the switch is in the on position? Which version of pi are you using it with?
