Hi,
I am trying to reattach a surface component to a motherboard that came loose at M4 . Can anyone offer advice on how to do this correctly, if at all? The goal is to get a replacement motor on a robo vacuum working again. I have a Hakko soldering iron with basic tips for working with electronics and a little experience doing soldering with Arduino shields. Shown here are the component that came loose and the board minus that part. Thanks!
Bill

Re: Reattaching a component
Given the tiny size and the lack of exposed area on the mounting tabs at the ends, this is probably a job for some solder paste and a hot-air reflow station.

You should be able to do that with your Hakko and a fine tip. I'd start by cleaning the pins and the solder-pads on the board with some isopropyl alcohol and an old toothbrush. A little bit of liquid flux on the pins would be helpful as well.
