Hi, I am teaching Fashion Design and Product Development at
Mississippi State University. In one of my class, students are working with
some sensors to develop smart textiles. I need to purchase several sensor. Can anyone suggest me what heart rate sensor could be good option to apply for wearable smart clothing application?

There are a few guides from Adafruit in regards to pulling heart rate sensor data using different controller boards.
The two that I think you should focus on are using a BLE Armband (they use Scosche Rhythm+). However, the sensor is not that important since any commercial BLE heart rate monitor will likely work.
