Tempo stuck at max bpm's. --> Somebody can help me out ??

by Arnoid on Fri Oct 27, 2006 3:53 am

Hi

Yesterday i finished my x0xb0x...
But when i plug in the power supply and turn to random play the x0xb0x start to play :) but he's stuck at max bpm's ??
If i turn the tempo knob nothing happens with the bpm it's stays very fast...
All the other knobs like cutoff, resonance, envelope,... seems to work perfectly.

Somebody can help me out ?

you can try reloading the firmware
there might be something wrong

or you can take a look at the pins
that come from the tempo encoder
and see if they go high and low
when you turn the encoder
the encoder might be broken

some of the tempo encoders do not function very well
one or more pins will be stuck at either high or low
sometimes this can be fixed
by torqueing the tempo knob while you spin it quickly
tilt it from side to side and press up and down on it
whilst turning it quickly
there is probably a piece of metal inside
that didnt get cleaned out during manufacture
and this helps break it free
