ExperiMenta

Post by uberhund »

The result of an afternoon's work gilding the excellent Adafruit lily.

Yellows and greens are extensions to digital pins 2-13 on the right, and analog pins 0 to 5 on the left. Reds and center black header are extensions to V5 and gnd, respectively .

White is standard, general purpose prototyping area.

Awesome. Where did you find the colored female headers?

Would you believe I spray painted standard black headers, first with white primer, then with the final coat, to get the colored ones?

Sticking the header into some conductive shipping foam helps position it for spray painting on all sides, and also shields the metal leads from the over spray.

A bit obsessive, perhaps, but the alternating colors really speed up component placement and reduces the alignment errors I was previously making.

Thanks for the kind words.
