VCO issue (solved)

by vlady on Sat Feb 23, 2008 5:12 pm

Just started the vco section and did the control voltage test. I'm getting 2.9V across the tab next to R81 (as shown in the build manual)and R90 but am not getting anything on pin7 of IC11. I am getting 2.9V on pin 5, but none of the other pins have any voltage. Any idea? I've checked all transistors, trim pots and. IC11 is socketed but I don't think that should make a difference.

I didn't know the i/o needed to powered up along with the cv, although now that I think about it, it makes perfect sence. Anyway, all checks out perfect with the i/o board powered up. 3.0v at pin 7. Thanks guest.

I ran into the same exact problem! The instructions are not clear that AC power needs to be reconnected to test the waveform.
