led brightness

by danyool001 on Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:12 pm

Hi all,

Ive just finished putting together my self sourced parts kit... and all is good.... great clean sound and all seems to be cool....
Thank god for that!!!

One problem that I have is that some of the led are not shining very bright. The ones that are a bit dull all consistantly seem to be the same dullness....

Does anyone have any ideas on what this may be? Or has anyone had this problem and fixed it?

Thanks.. dan
ACID.... i like the squelch.... mmmmm

are all of your leds from the same batch
its not uncommon for leds to vary a bit
and the ones used in the x0x are high brightness
so they have a very large current limiting resistor
you can decrease the resistor values to up the brightness
try using 2k or 1k resistors
